A bit of history and variety
This book contains more than long stitch patterns, but instead are many different textures, which I like, but unfortunately a lot of photos are B & W and charts are squeezed in like after thoughts It’s especially frustrating that the historical images aren’t color because the author uses them as examples of 16th century designs that appear contemporary. I agree. The examples seem wonderful so I’d love to see them in their original color.
It looks like the book was part of a series of inexpensive 70’s crafts books. It’s surprising it was as good as it is, that a copy was intact and someone scanned it. I appreciate the effort.
